As a special February event, we are offering a three-day intensive course on how to put on a kimono, led by an experienced kimono instructor.

Dates:

Saturday, February 21, 2026 – 2:15–4:30 p.m.

Sunday, February 22, 2026 – 2:15–4:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 28, 2026 – 2:15–4:30 p.m.

The more often you wear a kimono, the more confident you will become in putting it on. Therefore, we recommend attending all three days if possible.

Registration for just one or two days is also possible.

Regardless of the starting day, all participants will learn the basics from the beginning – ideal for beginners.

Participation Fee

One session: €14 (Wagokoro members) / €20 (non-members)
Two sessions: €24 (Wagokoro members) / €33 (non-members)
Three sessions: €32 (Wagokoro members) / €43 (non-members)
Kimono Rental (optional): €20 per session

Please indicate your height if you would like to rent a kimono.

Tea & Sweets

Matcha tea and Japanese sweets are included at the first session.

Japanese green tea will be served at the second and third sessions.

Extra Offer

On Saturday, February 21, a free introductory Japanese dance class will be held from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM (for first-time participants).

Terms and Conditions

Registration and Payment

Your place in a workshop is confirmed once the full payment has been received. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with all relevant details. Please check this carefully and reach out if anything seems incorrect.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you need to cancel your participation, please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the workshop date will be fully refunded. For cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance, the fee is non-refundable, but you may transfer your spot to another person. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for non-attendance.

In the unlikely event that the workshop must be cancelled or rescheduled by us—for example due to illness or unforeseen venue issues—you may choose between a full refund or transferring your booking to a future date. We cannot cover travel or accommodation costs related to such changes.

Event Conduct

We kindly ask participants to arrive on time so the session can begin together in a relaxed and unhurried way. Respectful and considerate behavior toward others is expected at all times.

Photography for personal use is welcome, but please ask before taking photos of other participants. Should anyone behave disruptively or disrespectfully, the facilitator reserves the right to ask them to leave without refund.

Allergies and Dietary Restrictions

Some of the sweets served may contain common allergens such as nuts, soy, or gluten. If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform us at the time of booking. While we do our best to accommodate, participation is ultimately at your own discretion.

Health and Safety

If you are feeling unwell, please refrain from attending and contact us as soon as possible.

Our workshops involve hot water and delicate utensils; we ask everyone to handle them with care. Matcha Biyori is not responsible for injuries or damages resulting from careless handling or failure to follow safety instructions.

Photos and Promotion

During the event, photographs or short video clips may be taken to document and share the experience through Matcha Biyori’s website or social media. If you prefer not to appear in any of these materials, please let us know before the workshop begins.

Personal data shared with us during registration is used solely for communication and event management. Your information will never be shared with third parties. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

Liability

Matcha Biyori and its facilitators are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings. Participation in all workshops is voluntary and at your own risk.
