Japanese Tea Ceremony and Matcha Experience in Düsseldorf
Matcha Biyori offers calm, beginner-friendly Japanese tea experiences in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. Through matcha, seasonal wagashi and simple tea gestures, guests can discover Japanese tea culture in a relaxed and accessible way.
This table tea ceremony is designed for people who are curious about matcha but do not know where to begin. You do not need previous tea ceremony experience, Japanese language skills or knowledge of formal etiquette. The experience takes place at a table, so there is no need to sit in seiza.
During the session, you will enjoy a seasonal Japanese sweet, learn about the meaning behind the tea setting, and receive a bowl of matcha prepared with care. The focus is not on strict formality, but on slowing down, noticing the season and experiencing matcha with intention.
The experience is suitable for beginners, matcha lovers, Japan enthusiasts and anyone looking for a quiet cultural activity in Düsseldorf. Sessions may be offered in English, German or Japanese depending on the group.
Matcha Biyori also shares Japanese sweets, wagashi workshops and small cultural experiences connected to Japanese tea culture. Each workshop is created with respect for tradition while making the experience approachable for people living in Germany and Europe.
