Come alone, come as a beginner, or come in your everyday clothes. You are welcome here.

We are a casual community for people who enjoy kimono—or would simply like to learn more about it. We meet for café visits, seasonal outings and small cultural activities around Düsseldorf and Bonn.
You do not need experience, your own kimono or someone to come with. Regular clothes are always welcome.

What we do
Small, seasonal moments
Nothing formal and nothing rushed—just time to enjoy kimono together.
There is no dress code. Come in kimono, western clothing, or whatever makes you comfortable.

Biyori Kai
There is no obligation to attend regularly. After joining, you will receive invitations to upcoming gatherings and occasional community news.
Individual outings or workshops may have their own cost. This will always be stated in advance.
The following individuals may not be admitted to Biyori events:
- People who disrespect or belittle others
- Those who create uncomfortable atmospheres through arrogance, gatekeeping, or power-tripping
- Individuals who pressure others into buying expensive kimono, accessories, or brands
- People who repeatedly cause trouble, drama, or discomfort within the community
- Those who do not respect Japanese culture, etiquette, or the spirit of the gathering
- Individuals who are unable to interact with others in a peaceful and considerate manner
Biyori events are intended to be a warm, welcoming, and safe space for everyone — including beginners, international participants, and those simply wishing to enjoy kimono together peacefully.
